AMA’s design approach always starts with the users so we work closely with clients and users – consulting widely, running workshops and maintaining a dialogue. Much of our work involves finding the hidden potential in buildings that have been used (and abused) over time.

We believe that space influences behaviour and well-designed spaces can contribute to more effective working and learning.

We look to produce simple designs that are appropriate for the organisation and the building. Although we seek to create spaces that will last they must also be capable of change. This means versatility and adaptability, not building in obstacles to different uses and users in the future.
